Well, we know the Wisconsin same-sex marriage ban was part of the Republican Rove-ian strategy of putting such referendums on ballots to draw out right-leaning voters, in the hopes of inflating numbers for GOP candidates in elections.

Well, it did pass on Tuesday, but DailyKos has posted a silver lining that is quite interesting.

Hadn't thought of it that way...and it's not just spin. Look at the numbers. I read the Portage County numbers breakdown on the County Clerk's site and it was a perfect example. Even Plover was close for candidates, despite the ban carrying strongly.
